hi guys :)
in a couple of days I'll be announcing the beginning of "sponsor my CD" project!!
It's really exciting, lots of great people helped out by sponsoring "Live at SoundMoves" and "Modern Fairytale". And now I need help with the upcoming EP!!!!
Without contributors, we won't be able to release the album. So we need help!!!

A few questions. I'm looking for some ideas of what you guys think!!!

1. Is it interesting for you to know the amount we're raising and the daily update on marinav.com on how much we've raised?

2. What kind of prizes you think would be cool?
Aside from the signed copy of the CD and a THANK YOU mention in the CD insert and on marinav.com (the first 2 levels will get that)?

There will be different levels of sponsorship.
$25
$50
$100
$200
$500
$1,000 and up

for $100 and up I was thinking a phone call would be cool,
at $200 and up - tea with the sponsor!
$500 lunch with the sponsor!
$1,000 lunch with the sponsor, "komrade-style associate producer" title on the CD!

What else?
Any thoughts? Ideas?

:) We really need to raise a significant amount of money, so I hope you can help me figure out what people would like as a thanks for their financial contribution!!!

hugs,
Marina :)

P.S. What can I do on my end to encourage people to donate sooner than later? Deadline? Incentive? What do you think?

These are great ideas, Marina. Perhaps you could offer special edition CD's to those who sponsor it. For example, Tori Amos' new CD had a regular version (just the CD), or a deluxe version that included a poster and DVD. The dvd also allows you to access a secret web-site where you can see behind the scenes stuff, so maybe you could create some behind the scenes, making of stuff that only sponsors could access.
I love the prize ideas, would LOVE to receive a phone call from you, just not sure I can spare $100 though:( I'll give it some more thought, but that's all I have for now.

Actually it's the CD that allows you access to Tori's behind the scenes secret site, not the DVD. Just wanted to clear up that little tidbit.

I like Todd's ideas! Also, a deadline and updates for donations is good, and perhaps posting some sort of "goal" you wish to achieve would be a helpful incentive for people to give.

If a sponsor has a business or website, you can add their link on MarinaV.com.

Otherwise, I really like what you have got going so far!
