Recording new album (or EP) :)

hi guys:)
i'm back from Moscow, jet-lagging, of course :)
Today, Nick & I spent a few hours in the studio with the producer, Guy Erez (who produced "You Make Me Beautiful" with us). We'll be recording 3 songs in the studio in the next few weeks.
We chose:
Unbalanced (finally, a studio version!!!)
The Weight of the World (brand new song, I've played it recently at shows)
and
Thursday Song (for those of you who attended "live at soundmoves" recording session, I played that song as a bonus live song after the recording was over)...

Anyway.. I'm really really excited... We almost decided to re-record "Killing My Dream" (b/c I never felt we "got" it right on other recordings.. and I really like this producer, so I thought maybe we'll give KMD another shot)..... i hope we'll do it after these 3 songs are done....
Anyway.
I thought you might like a little "insider" scoop :)

I wondered about the song "weight of the world"...I think Todd mentioned it from a recent show....Todd, you lucky dog, getting to hear it first. LOL!
Unbalanced has become one of Mike's favorites:).
Can't wait to hear Thursday song and the others!

This is awesome news, Marina!!! I know I've been bugging you and Nick about when you might release "Thursday Song". Not only did I hear it at Soundmoves, but I believe I also heard you play it at Mama Java's in Phoenix.I know I've heard it at least twice. Funny thing is...I love the song, but I don't even remember how it goes(LOL)! I mean it's been a couple of years since I heard it:) I just remember that I loved it!
And of course, you know how I feel about "Unbalanced"!! I mean, it's only the very first song I ever heard you play!! I know it's on Soundmoves, but it'll be nice to have a non-live studio version too:) And "The Weight Of the World" was really incredible as well!
Hey, how about adding "Walk Away" too? That is yet another amazing song you've yet to release. Just a thought:)

we just recorded drums for "unbalanced" and for "weight of the world" a few days ago. my friend, the drummer (Ryan Hoyle, formerly of Collective Soul and Paul Rogers' live DVD from Glasgow) played the songs beautifully in his cool studio in Hollywood!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i'm so excited!!! can't wait to play those songs for you guys when we're all finished!
