Tooms, the character. Squeeze is the name of the first of 2 episodes we c Tooms in.
on x-files.wikia we find this (and more of course hehe) about the episode Sqeeze:
"This is one of the most famous episodes of The X-Files (http://x-files.wikia.com/wiki/The_X-Files) and was the first to feature a "Monster of the Week (http://x-files.wikia.com/wiki/The_X-Files#Background_Terminology)". The story would be concluded later in "Tooms (http://x-files.wikia.com/wiki/Tooms)".
For the character, see Eugene Victor Tooms (http://x-files.wikia.com/wiki/Eugene_Victor_Tooms)."

I'm a huge sci-fi fan. As a kid, I read all of Ray Bradbury's stuff and then read a lot of Russian sci-fi as well. Terminator 2 is one of my favorite movies ever since I was a kid, and I love everything space/aliens/unexplained-related :)
Tooms was a spooky character, when Mulder was crawling under the escalator into his nest, it was just plain scary (at least to me!).
Glad to see Tooms gone! :)

I wasn’t a big X-File fan, after the first season I would watch it if I was home. There was one that I liked, but I don' remember the title or much about it. Only that it took place in a Mayberry type town with an Andy Griffith sort of sheriff. Also I think there were two brothers and there mother lived on a car creeper under the bed. Hopefully someone will remember this episode.
I liked both the first and second Terminator; I really like the tranfomantin of Linda Hamilton’s character from someone who was not very confident and unsure about herself to a buff up, shotgun toting, take control woman.
The movie I’m waiting for is a remake of my all time favorite sci-fi move, The Day the Earth Stood Still. When I first heard they were remaking the movie I thought no way. Then I heard it would be Keanu Reeves playing Klaatu and thought it may be worth seeing. I to like everything space, aliens and the paranormal, anything unexplained or covered up. Not good for someone who works the graveyard shift, basically by himself.

Hey Marina, did you ever read Stanislaw Lem?

yes, yes, I did!! Read Lem as a kid, in Russian.
There is one short sci-fi story that I remember as a kid, but can't remember who wrote it..
The plot is that the people are living on this planet and their life span is only 7 days or so, with impossible heat during the day and insane cold at night, and they're trying to get to a rocket b/c there is climate-control or something like that and they won't age so quickly. Something like that.. It's been haunting me for years b/c I can't remember who wrote the story and what it's called... But I want to read it again and it's driving me crazy!!
Maybe you guys know it?
P.S. That's great that you got to meet Arthur C. Clarke!!!!!

I just saw you’re playing at the UCLA Library {shame on you for not letting me know the instant it was set!}. If I’m not out of town, I’ll take you down to the room where Bradbury wrote Fahrenheit 451. ;o)
About sci-fi in the TV the best series ever might be Farscape...
I am NOT green envious of you guys in the USA that were able to see it on TV because I have all the DVDs from Amazon.UK.
About sci-fi stories I read loads of that in portuguese, english and french and am willing to discuss authors with you, other freaks here :)
And about Lem, I can't get this out of my mind.

Somebody read it ?

I don't recall reading this one, I read a lot of Lem in Russian as a kid.
I'm afraid to check out Farscape because I might get addicted to it and end up watching the whole series in a month :)
You would get addicted, but it's worth it.
Far better than X-Files. Here I agree with Milla, where she said the first series was good and then they began to get into the mood of eluding the stories, postponing, giving clues and generally not going anywhere.
We want to get somewhere!
If you like comic Sci-Fi you should love Lexx series.
Heard about it ?
And about Lem/Invincible, it gives you a lesson in humility ...

Hey Milla, how much did you see of Farscape ?
It is not crap at all.
It is better than B5.
And Claudia Black, Gigi Edgley are gorgeous ;)
You might enjoy Ben Browder yourself :D)
Now, about crap ... Battlestar Galactica ?! Star Trek ?? These are good candidates for the category above mentioned.
Although they are classical, in a way...

I agree, I’ve seen some of them Viking women. Love the red hair, though.
Also when I was in Sweden I had a friend who used to say a little poem. I can only remember a part, it went something like, a hundred Swedes ran thru the weeds chased by one Norwegian. Milla, do you know the rest?
