I had an opportunity to hear this singer/pianist/songwriter in a casual showcase presented by Audix at winter NAMM and was quite simply blown away by her voice, her style and her music. Drawing from influences panning from ‘60s pop to classical, her soft-edged, hypnotic voice weaves embraceable melodies around thoughtful lyrics—real ‘shivers up the spine’ stuff. Russian born and raised in L.A., Marina’s music has been tempered by challenges and life events far too numerous to go to into here, so check out her web site.
