Hey guys!!! I was lucky enough to see Paul McCartney on Tues at Amoeba records (music store in Hollywood)!!! And...the video crew interviewed me for the official McCartney video segment!! See below:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxmwjfNbeRA (at about 1 minute)
I had just flown in from Moscow the night before, but thanks to Nick & Beverly I was able to see the show.
Growing up in the Soviet Union and learning English by translating every Beatle song I had on my compilation bootleg tape, the Beatles were just as unreachable as the next galaxy, some sort of a dream. I was in the second row in Amoeba, 20 feet away when Macca was at the piano. When I saw him at the Staples in 2002 (my first time ever), I couldn't stop crying. It was incredible. But Tuesday, it was even more magical. Among many others, he played "Here Today" (song written for John Lennon, but also dedicated to George Harrison and Linda McCartney). Watching Paul get so emotional so close to all of us was just too much. My tears just rolled and rolled. It will be the day I will never forget.
Anyway. I just had to share! Hugs to all of you, and thank you for supporting my music!!! Marina smile.gif )
