first off - thanks to all of your who came to Genghis Cohen last Saturday.
I had such a great time and it was awesome to see so many of you there!!
Some of you came all the way from Las Vegas, from San Diego and from Orange County!
I know that for some of you it was your 4th or 5th show in a row!
Some of you have been coming to almost every club show. I can't thank you enough.
Thank you all for the notes & letters, nice words and hugs..
Thank you to EVERYONE who's been coming out.
I played at the Grand opening of Arcadia Borders last Friday.
Some of you (you know who you are) took off work early to come out there at 3 pm!!
I thought it was going to be a lame gig but it was so amazing.
Thanks for all of the song requests.

ENVIRONMENT
I was crying Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
The air we breathe, the water we drink, our beautiful national parks & wilderness preserves took a big hit in the presidential election.
For those of you who talked to me about politics this year probably know that the results of this Presidential Elections really broke my heart.
Nick & I were actively participating in the Kerry campaign, volunteering our energy and time.
As a big lover of our beautiful forests, national parks and as a big supporter of our environment, I am devastated by the re-election of the president with the worst environmental record of all times.

I am disappointed that the environment was barely discussed during the debates
and during the campaign. It should be one of our
top issues as it affects the air we breathe, water we drink and the food we eat.
It affects us and future generations. You can SEE the air in L.A.!!!
The current administration is planning to unleash its deadliest attack
on the environment yet. The chainsaws and drilling rigs are getting ready to
invade our last wild national forests. This administration will give
polluters the right to keep spewing illegal tons of toxic mercury into
our air & allow water treatment plants to dump virtually untreated sewage into our waterways.
There are many more issues at stake. But we can stop many of these horrific
plans to ever coming to fruition.

Green Peace http://www.greenpeace.org
Within last few years, NRDC has succeeded in stalling, blocking or sinking
the worst of President Bush's attempts to dismantle our environmental laws.
Efforts of NRDC do work and you can make a difference.

TRIP TO RUSSIA
I am very sorry to all of my Illinois friends because I won't have a December
concert in Springfield this year. I will be going to Russia to see my family!
I am very very excited because I haven't been with my family for New Year's holiday
for almost 10 years. New Year's celebration is kind of like Christmas here.
A big deal for families and a great time to be together.
I will make sure to take a lot of pictures and share them with everyone
on this messageboard.
Moscow is beautiful and magnificent in winter (besides being insanely cold). smile.gif
Also, I'm currently reading "Fast Food Nation". A fun and scary book, to say the least smile.gif
