Hi everyone smile.gif First of all, thank you SO MUCH for the amazing happy birthday emails, cards and messages on the messageboard. I had a wonderful birthday!!!! Thank you. You made me laugh and cry. Thank you.

And thank you to every sweet person who came out to the big show at Club Lingerie on Sept 21. The show was a big success thanks to all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like we will have a few more showcase-type shows in the very near future with record label people attending. It's exciting, frustrating, scary yet inspiring at the same time. Am I making any sense here? smile.gif

I hope to see all of my Southern California friends at the next showcase on Monday, October 11 at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. All details are later in this email. Lots of good news here as well. Please read on and THANK YOU for being so amazing.

A big hug to every one of you..
love,
marina smile.gif
Nick said to say hello and "Go Cardinals!"

P.S. If anyone in L.A. area needs a custom cake made, I know someone who can make you the best home-made cake you'll ever have!!! . smile.gif

P.P.S. You have to check out "Spinning Boris". The best movie I've seen in a long long while! It's based on a true story and is about three American political consultants secretly coming to Russia in 1996 to help re-elect Yeltsin. Even if you don't care much about politics, this movie it brilliantly done and is a lot of fun smile.gif Jeff Goldblum at his best!

Hanging out with the legendary Lamont Dozier at SoundMoves studios. Lamont has written just about half of the Motown song catalogue, including "Stop in the name of love", "Heat wave", "Baby love", etc...

LAMONT LOOKS INCREDIBLE -- I GREW UP LISTENING TO MOTOWN ON CKLW IN THE EARLY '60'S WHEN EVERYTHING WAS WRITTEN BY HOLLAND/DOZIER/HOLLAND! HE LOOKS YOUNGER THAN I DO! OF COURSE, THE LIGHT THAT GLOWS IN MARINA MAKES ALL AROUND HER MORE LOVELY FOR HER PRESENCE!
