Please please please don`t start a political debate here .... I just want to know if anyone saw the movie and what do you think about it.

The real question is, should I go see it at the movies or wait for the DVD? :D
Cheers.

It's a great film! I would suggest going to the theater to help with box office sales. High box office sales show that a lot of people really care and are interested in politics. I loved the film. It was very well done. Very emotional yet factually correct.

I agree. This is a very important movie. If you can, check it out and take all of your friends.
Have fun!

The documentary exceeded my expectation. Moore showed the victims of the war on the American side. I encourage everyone to go see the movie at the theaters.

Saw it this weekend, well worth the time and the money. Unfortunately, once again Michael Moore’s movie plays to the choir. The people who need to see the film more than likely never will. It sad that most Americans know more about what happening on Big Brother or Who Wants to Marry my Dad, then what their governments doing (both parties) behind the scenes. Hopefully enough people will see it and begin to understand what war is about, that it is not John Wayne saving the day. What really scares me was how quickly people were willing to give up their civil liberties. (time to get off the soapbox)
I agree with Nick, go see it and take your friends.

Maybe you guys already know about it, but check this out: http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/Music/07/19/ronstadt.reut/index.html

LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Singer Linda Ronstadt was thrown out of the Aladdin casino in Las Vegas on the weekend after dedicating a song to liberal filmmaker Michael Moore and his movie "Fahrenheit 9/11," a casino spokeswoman said Monday.

Ronstadt, who had been hired for a one-show engagement Saturday night at the Las Vegas Strip casino, dedicated a performance of "Desperado" to Moore and his controversial documentary, which criticizes President Bush and the U.S.-led war in Iraq.

That dedication angered some Aladdin guests who spilled drinks, tore down posters and demanded their money back, said casino spokeswoman Sara Gorgon.

"We had quite a scene at the box office," she said.

About a quarter of the 4,500 people in the audience got up and left before the performance had finished, Gorgon said.

Before her concert, Ronstadt had laughingly told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that she hoped that the casino performance would be her last.

"I keep hoping that if I'm annoying enough to them, they won't hire me back," she was quoted as telling the newspaper.

A statement issued by the Aladdin said Ronstadt had been "escorted out of the hotel" just after her performance and said the performer would "not be welcomed back."

"Ms. Ronstadt was hired to entertain the guests of the Aladdin, not to espouse political views," the casino said.

Ronstadt was not immediately available for comment.

I have been a Ronstadt fan since "The Stone Ponys" & all I can say is it is beyond belief that in the 21st century one cannot express a point of view without backlash -- if I do not like your opinions I still respect your right to them.

Saw it again last night, enjoyed more the second time. I guess it was because this time I could watch and listen to the reactions of everyone in the theater. Especially how people were making comment throughout the first half of the film and then how quiet it became in the second half.

Mikeys movie has been generally boycotted in my area! Isn't that a little ridiculous? I mean, it's not like "they're" (the local theater corporations and chamber's of commerce) afraid people will be swayed by potential propaganda in an election year.
NE is however, a state whose electoral college votes are not "all" committed to the popular vote winner. 2 of the 5 go there, but the other 3 are committed to the respective popular winner, in each of our 3 congressional districts. Opening the possibility that a crucial single electoral vote could win the election for the Democratic candidate, in a state that hasn't swung that way, since John F. Kennedy. I'm sure Kerry's team has operatives working extra hard in these small states that "always" vote "R".
Sorry about that diatribe, I'm heading to Colorado next week, so maybe I'll catch the film in the Rockies somewhere.
I did see Michael Moore in his latest prime time interviews. Gotta say....he is still creepy! Full, more of opinions, & probably burgers & fries, than facts. hehe

Hey Guitar Junkie!
I'm sorry your area is censoring what you can and can't see. This is just like several of the radio stations banning "Imagine" when the Iraq War started. I guess free speech to some is limited to Cheney's use of an expletive on the Senate floor.
No doubt about the hamburgers, but Moore has a "War Room" of fact checkers ready to prove anything the right-wingers dispute. Have you noticed that there is not much factual criticism anymore? This is because Moore has "Outfoxed" them.

Best of luck in seeing the movie. It is really worth it.

Have a good one!
Nick

The sad thing about all this is that we had to hear about many of these facts from a film. The question should be is what happened to the so-called liberal media? Where was the nightly coverage?

I recently found this on http://actforvictory.org/act.php/home/petitionthanks/stopthefraud and wanted to share this with you.

The Bush campaign is committing fraud. $78 million dollars worth of it.

They have crossed a line - blatantly misstating facts about the record and policy positions of John Kerry. They plan to lie their way to victory.

Newsweek says the Bush “word is no longer good”. The Detroit Free Press called the same ad “wrong”.

George Bush’s ad says Kerry supports a $900 billion dollar tax hike. This is completely false, but the average voter has no way of knowing this—and every reason to trust that the FCC would keep false ads off the air.

Bush’s ad also shows Kerry supporting a 50 cent gas tax—a powerfully damaging, and untrue, claim.

Sign the petition against Bush’s fraud and pass it on:

After spending over $75 million on fraudulent attacks, Karl Rove is back to selling the true Texas cowboy. Throughout August, Bush campaign commericals will feature President Bush at his ranch in Crawford, Texas.

Join ACT and our friend Will Ferrell for a behind-the-scenes look at “White House West.” We promise it’s the best commerical you’ll see this election.

go to http://whitehousewest.com/ to watch Will Ferrell in this mock commercial. It really funny!!
