So Komrades, I was invited to Alex Kharlamov's last night for a going away party (he is going away to Russia for a month) and guess who was there? Marina! And by the way, the food was great. Just wanted to let all you crazy fans know that Marina's just as cool in person as you all think she would be. Actually I have met Marina on one or two occasions and was actually sitting there in the room while she recorded "200 Cats" with Alex - bet you're jealous now, huh?! ;) So she says to me, "Why haven't you posted anything yet?!?!" So here it is, Marina. By the way, this was also my first time meeting Nick who seemed to be a genuine article all the while understanding the plights of living in the mid-west. Marina argues that Russian winters are far more fierce than the winters in Minneapolis and Chicago, but Nick and I know better. We'll let her feel like she's right, though...

yeah places like Illinois get the worst of both worlds. Burning hot in the summer and freezing in the winter, and in the fall or spring you are too busy sneezing with a cold to care what it feels like outside. Wish I lived in Cali...

Cali seems like a great place to everyone from other states, but Cali has it's bad points too. In the summer it gets really really hot (has been kinda hot the past couple days and is suppose to be even hotter today (in the upper 90's) and it's winter sheesh) and in winter it gets pretty cold with nights getting as low as 45-50*. And for Cali that's pretty cold... but hey I'm somewhat use to it since I've lived here all my life, all I know is I'd hate to live in AZ, it gets wayyy to hot out there for me to survive lol.

yeah Its crazy in Arizona, but Im used to that kind of hot. Its dry there. what I dont like Is the humid summers. I used to live in arizona when I was young and still visit it all the time. I love it. I also visit cali all the time and believe me, Id rather live there than here.

Yo!!! Privet from the good old SUNNY HOT MOSCOW! Just kidding smile.gif It's not too cold, though, yet, but it's only October... Sitting in an internet-cafe, having a beer (which is alowed to everybody everywhere here), browsing Marina's site. It's a Good Life tongue.gif

Yea I think I'd rather be in cali than in Il.... I can't handle extreme cold hehe... and it's soon to be getting colder here hehe.

Alex - you're in Russia? Lucky you!.. I checked out some links from m's site, and Russia looks absolutely beautiful!

I really want to visit it. Ive never been out of the united states, but im going to italy this summer. Thats going to be fun.
