Hello, Marina, I have a question for you. I know you really love hiking. Is it something you used to do when you were growing up in Russia? Just curious.

hi James :)
it's funny you asked this, someone else just asked me the same question a couple of days ago and brought back amazing memories.
I used to take many hour walks with my dad and sometimes with my grandma outside of Moscow, in the wild forests.
We went to the forest to collect wild blueberries, raspberries and mushrooms, sometimes even wild strawberries and hazelnuts..
it was amazing.. we'd have to put giant rubber boots on b/c a lot of Russian forests are often really damp and have high grass/shrubs.
Russian wilderness is amazing.. it will always have a special place in my heart :)))

wow that sounds awesome! I've hiked many places in California with breathtaking views and peeks at wildlife, but never came accross any wild berries, nuts, or mushrooms! Sounds like some sweet wilderness!
ok, maybe mushrooms once back in college.. haha
