Hey Marina, Nick, Komrades!!.. My move to Costa Rica ran short, and I'm back in L.A. temporarily. It was just amazing down there, the people, the food, the weather and warm water.. Houses on the beach under 200/month, rainforests and waterfalls to jump and swim in, travellers from around the world.. One month and I'm sold.. I'm trying to get a ticket back, a town called Montezuma is where I ended up setting foot. Selling paintings and massages on the beach, sleeping in a hammoc and eating bananas when times are tough..
I see there's a show in Torrance on my birthday? Maybe I can get down there, it'd be cool to see ya before I ship out again.. and great news on the New York shows, I'll add them up to the calendar at Curious Culture.com for my east coast friends.
Take Care!
David

Welcome back, David! OMG, Costa Rica. It sounds like paradise!
Do you have any pictures from Costa Rica?
Wow! Costa Rica sounds awesome. Someday, we'll get out that way. I would love to see the rainforest. Do you have any pics?

sadly, my digicam busted on the plane.. I bought a junky $5 camera, but the photos came out dark and I don't have a scanner.. But I'm headed back in 2 weeks with my prof. 35mm this time to document it the right way.
Here's the Portgugese Manowar that got me.. supposedly their venom is 75 times that of a Cobra snake.. for me it was a shot in the bum, a spoonful of home remedy, and 4 hours of the worst pain in my life, and now soon to be my next tattoo, right over the scars..

Here is Montezuma, the town I fell in love with.. just a few miles away are some nice houses for under 200US a month, on the beach.. Great food, amazing people, easy to make a living selling paintings and massages in town..

and this site has good pics of the waterfalls just a short hike away.. some even have a 12 meter tall jump!!

David,
Alright..... How am I suppose to work if all I keep dreaming about is figuring a way to live in Costa Rica. I have about two feet of snow outside and a 9-5 gig I just want to melt away.
Thanks for the links and the pictures. I'll will have to live vicariously through you.
