Anybody else make it to the NAMM Show? It was really good. I had a blast! I made some new connections there too!

Yo! Bluesman!
Yeah, Marina was at NAMM (National Association of Music Merchandisers) on Thursday and I was there Sunday. It's always a fun show, just exhausting. Sensory overload! Marina's Audix rep, Rob, told Marina that there is a display at the Audix Factory in Portland. When Marina sent her mics in to be cleaned, they kept the old screen from one of them and now have it on display right in between screens from Alanis and The Bangles in a glass case. We thought that was pretty fun!
Talk atcha later,
Nick

Hey Nick

do you think that old screen will end up on Ebay when you guys get your grammy

That would be funny as long as there are no imposters (fake screens). By the way, what's your ebay sign-in? Just kidding! Thanks a million for your confidence that the grammy thing will be a potential issue!!!

Yeah, I was there from Friday morning till Sunday afternoon. Hey Nick, do you know Julian Coryell? He plays around locally and lives up in Silverlake. He sometimes plays the Hotel Cafe.

Did anyone catch the new Fender stratocasters at the NAMM? I'm considering buying the Deluxe American Strat HSS LT, with the new samarium cobalt pickups. If anyone has seen/heard them, post a reply. Thanks!

Scott,
I was upstairs in the Fender room and looked at alot of new stuff. I can't say I saw that exact guitar with those pickups. I'm kinda old fashioned when it comes to guitars and pick-ups. There are no doubt alot to choose from and I am partial to old Fenders, Gibsons and Gretchs and to the newer Paul Reed Smiths. Too many of the old guys have drilled it into me that...it don't matter. It's all in your hands and in your heart.
