the show at the Gypsy Den was fun, awesome, amazing, powerful, emotional and intense. the best show. Marina was laughing and telling stories, I had such a blast.

P.S. Marina, I hope you feel better soon. Even though you were sick, you sounded amazing and brought tears to my eyes during "Father".

OH MY GOD, the show was amazing, the acoustic arrangements were super, and I loved the way Marina ended the show with SIMPLE MAGIC with drums. I haven't heard this song live forever, it was a pleasant surprise.
And I think Shannon is a great addition to the band.
I also loved the fact that Marina stood up to sing 2 songs. I think it's my first time seeing her sing standing up.

Marina was really funny that night. I thought it was especially funny when she asked the audience if there was a plumber in the house. She also said that she was trying to fix the toilet herself and was sad that the toilet was running in women's bathroom and wasting all the water.

All in all, a great show. Probably the best ever!
An amazing turnout. I am glad I got there early to grab a seat. Lots of people had to stand in the back.

Was there anyone else there from this forum? Any additions to my review?

I was there. Marina asked me if I knew how to fix the plumbing too. I know it was fixed a week later.

I was a little dubious during "Walk Away" because the guitar solo just didn't sound the same without the electric, but everything was great after that. Shannon was so great and looked so good in that slinky black dress that I just couldn't bring myself to make fun of her like I usually do.

It was also wonderful to see so many other musicians there to watch Marina, particularly Cindy Alexander, who ran the merch table.

I met Cindy too. She seemed really nice.
As far as the guitar solo goes, I enjoyed the whole acoustic vibe. It was very different from the electric version, but I liked that too.
Glad to hear they fixed that toilet!

I was checking out the latest tour dates on the Marina V site, when - what to my wondering eyes should appear? - a performance on April 8, 2006, in JACKSONVILLE! WHOOPEEEE! Then I took a closer look, and realized it said Jacksonville, ILLINOIS!
AAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
