Wow!!! What a show! Your CD release party was the best live show I've seen in a very long time, and I go to several shows. The intro, featuring your childhood Russian recordings merged with present day recordings and extras, brought a real tear to my eye. The performance, including Maria, Nick, your composer friend (Alex I believe?) and your other band member ipod smile.gif , was perfectly executed. Every last angelic note of your beautiful voice rang out filling the Hotel Cafe with soul and class. I had goosebumps during Guardian Angel and Make This Minute Last. Really really great show. Wow!!! I will definitely be out to see you again and again. A wholehearted Thank You!!!

I'm with you, Little Earthquakes. The show was incredible! There was such a great energy and vibe throughout the night. Marina, Nick, what can I say that I haven't already said? You blow me away each and every time. The beauty of your voice, Marina, is indeed angelic. For me, it's spiritual; it transcends time and place for me, gets inside me and takes me to deeper and higher places within myself. Really, there are no words...because I don't just listen to your music, I experience it. Your music is a gift. Anyone who's reading this who hasn't had the chance to see Marina and Nick live, or who hasn't yet bought the new CD, I highly recommend both to you. The CD is "simply magical"...pun intended. tongue.gif There is a clarity, too, a purity...that I can't explain (in the recording quality?). The CD is just gorgeous. What else is there to say? Except THANK YOU. I noticed you changed the lyrics in "Ghost...Sky" from "find the ball" to "win them all." Hmmm... Maria, your beautiful cello accompaniment is the perfect complement to this extroardinary music. I loved, too, when Alex joined you onstage for your tribute to your shared heritage. And iPod, I could never forget your contribution. It was a great night all around. Boy, I sound like a walking Hallmark card! But you know I'm sincere in what I say, regardless of how corny I say it. smile.gif See you soon.

p.s. Oh, one more thing! Marina, btw, Don McLean's song "Vincent" is possibly my favorite song of all-time, and its impact on me is very similar to the impact your music has on me. It touched me to know you love it, too. smile.gif

I am so bummed to have missed it, but I was out of town and didn't get back in time. I live in SD and will be either at the Gypsy Den or Lestat's this weekend....hell, maybe I'll make both shows to make up for those I've missed so far. I'm happy to hear it's been going well for Marina so far, and I look forward to hearing her live for my first time!
