The show at Borders (The Block of Orange)

Marina performed at the Borders I work at on 10/10 and I really enjoyed her performance. I didn't have enough money on me to buy her cd though so I went and ordered it online at 2am when I got home from work hehe and I just got it yesterday and I love it. When she performed she kept quite an audience in our cafe, and that hardly ever happens with other performers. Great job Marina ^.^

So far I really like Something of My Own and Destroying My Dream the best, but I love all of her songs. What about you, what is your fav song(s)? will take me awhile to reply though I gotta go back to school :( lol

I really like Something of my own, killing my dream, On this Christmas Night and Ocean. I really like Simple Magic, too, there is a clip of it on the site. it's new. very cool! I also really like Father, the last song from "Lift", her first album.

I got to see Marina perform Simple Magick for the first time back in March in Hermosa Beach. Which may have been the first time she played it live. It will always have a special meaning for me.

m also played Simple Magic during her worldwide internet broadcast in July (the all request show). It was very cool.

Wish I could have heard it :( I only got to hear her perform the once at my work and I could only hear it to some degree at the registers while helping impatient customers grr hehe

Hey I went to FJC too... a few good friends still go there, and my friend Kathryn has a dance recital in a couple weeks at the Wilshire Theatre.

I first heard Marina at Borders too, at first I thought it was on the radio, and then I went to buy coffee and there she was. Had to get the cd first chance as well!

I also just realized I'm working the 22nd so I'm definitely guaranteed to see the show ;)Specially since I work in the cafe now and will be able to hear all of Marina's performance, which is better than being up at the registers and only being able to hear some of it. And I get my hour break during part of her performance too, yayness! Hope to see some of you guys there, and remember to keep telling people to go see Marina then ;)

It's no problem since you ended up going to her next show which happened to be the next day or the day after that. As long as you went and saw Marina at least, it's cool ^.^ hehe.

I met Marina last February at Border's in Las Vegas and got to see her again this weekend at Border's. Her voice and piano playing are beyond amazing and she has a genuine kindness about her. I couldn't believe that after a year her and Nick both remembered me. That is part of what makes her so special. I hope to see her back in Vegas soon.

Which show? I would go to the show tonight but I work tonight... so I think I'm going to the one in long beach or another one close by ^.^ hehe As long as I get to see her perform once this month I'll be happy ^.^
